It is important to us at Bacon Financial Management that we not only propose a diversified portfolio based on our client’s goals, time horizon, cash requirements, and risk tolerance, but that we also provide assistance with implementation at every stage of the investment process according to the needs of each client. We then continually monitor our clients’ portfolios and, as necessary, make recommendations on investment adjustments to ensure the portfolios remain on target with clients’ goals.
Bacon Financial believes that the importance of tax planning is not simply to ensure that tax payments are made accurately and on-time, but to also ensure that all aspects of our clients’ finances are managed harmoniously to optimize tax savings. Income tax planning can be as simple as determining the appropriate amount to withhold or as complicated as a multi-year plan incorporating an itemized deduction plan or stock option planning. As a component of our tax service, Bacon Financial also offers income tax return preparation for our clients.
At Bacon Financial, we focus on financial independence planning for our clients, rather than planning for a set retirement date. Once our clients achieve such independence, they then have the flexibility to decide whether they prefer to continue working at their current position or would like to explore other business opportunities. Having financial freedom is allowing our clients to rethink retirement in accord with their personal ambitions.
The first step in asset protection is ensuring our clients have appropriate levels of insurance. Bacon Financial provides an insurance-needs analysis to identify deficiencies in our clients’ existing coverage. We can then work with either your insurance professional or one of the insurance agencies with which we have developed best practices to recommend supplemental insurance or establish comprehensive insurance coverage through our network of associated insurance professionals. (Bacon Financial does not receive referral fees from any insurance professional or firm.)
For clients with more complex financial situations and assets, security beyond insurance may be warranted. Entity planning, such as trusts or family limited partnerships, can be appropriate and useful for some clients. Bacon Financial will not only review appropriateness of such strategies but will also work with the client’s attorney. If the client does not have an estate-planning attorney, a Bacon Financial advisor can make a referral.
Planning for assets that will pass down to children and other beneficiaries requires strategic coordination to ensure tax-efficiency. Bacon Financial can supervise this process from overseeing an estate plan to working with the attorneys to managing the completion of new beneficiary designations. Bacon Financial remains a partner with our clients as life-changes occur that require a review of estate plans and will recommend appropriate modifications.
